Eigentlich ist das so dass die beide Formen richtig sind. So wie man von Pablo Neruda spricht, und nicht vom Herr Rezes Basoalto, kann man vom Handel auch sprechen, da der Kompositor selbst unterschrieb sich immer als Handel.
"According to the Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians the are two accepted spellings of Handel’s full name. The first—George Frideric Handel—reflects the way it’s spelled in English (since his lifetime). The other—Georg Friederich Händel—is the German equivalent."
sì, solo che la differenza sta nel fatto, che un „Händel“ tedesco e un „Handel“ pronunciato all’inglese sono quasi completamente intercambiabili, mentre un „Handel oggi a Bolzano“ rischia di finire come un 'andell :-)
